Sign in to your account and click the menu link. Click the item you want to add a description to. For the screen shot below, the user is adding a description for a Carne Asada Taco.

Once the item is selected you'll be able to enter in a description of the item. The description field is highlighted in yellow below.

  IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE USE OF CLASSIFICATIONS: 

Meta Flavor can only make deliciously smart recommendations on dishes that have been classified by their restaurant owner.  In addition, Meta Flavor fans can only vote for their Flavor 100 favorites if their favorite restaurants have classified their menu items.

While it’s highly discouraged, you may choose not to make your items searchable, not to be a part of your fans voting for their favorites, by skipping this step and simply clicking the Update button to add only the item's description.

Assigning Classifications makes your restaurant easier to find and it empowers the people who love your food to vote you “Best Of” in their “Favorite 100”.  Bottom line: Classifications are a key ingredient in delivering more new customers.
